Longines \u2013 ETA 940.111<\/b><\/span><\/h1>\n

Een Longines weer terugbrengen naar zijn oorspronkelijke identiteit<\/b><\/p>\n

\ud83d\udcf8 Over het horloge<\/b><\/span>
\nDeze Longines Quartz was jarenlang eigendom van de vader van de huidige eigenaresse. Het horloge had daardoor een grote emotionele waarde en moest vooral weer worden zoals zij het zich herinnerde.
\nBij een eerdere reparatie waren echter zowel het originele Longines-uurwerk als de wijzerplaat vervangen. Het horloge functioneerde nog wel, maar was feitelijk geen originele Longines meer.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udd27 Probleemstelling<\/b><\/span>
\nTijdens de inspectie bleek dat het horloge was voorzien van een standaard ETA 940.111 zonder Longines-signering. Ook de originele Longines-wijzerplaat was vervangen.
\nTechnisch was het horloge bruikbaar, maar het had zijn oorspronkelijke identiteit verloren.<\/p>\n

\ud83e\udded Uitgevoerde werkzaamheden<\/b><\/span>
\n\u2013 Samen met de eigenaresse gezocht naar een passende donor
\n\u2013 Een originele Longines-uitvoering van de ETA 940.111 gevonden
\n\u2013 Originele Longines-wijzerplaat verkregen
\n\u2013 Volledige service van het donoruurwerk uitgevoerd
\n\u2013 Donoruurwerk en wijzerplaat overgezet in de originele kast van het horloge
\n\u2013 Eindcontrole<\/p>\n

\u2699\ufe0f Technische afweging<\/b><\/span>
\nBij restauraties van vintage horloges draait het niet altijd om het behoud van elk afzonderlijk onderdeel, maar om het behoud van het horloge als geheel.
\nIn dit geval was in het verleden ervoor gekozen om eerder een generiek ETA-uurwerk te plaatsen. Dat lost het technische probleem op, maar haalt wel een belangrijk deel van de authenticiteit weg.
\nDoor een originele Longines-uitvoering van hetzelfde kaliber te vinden en volledig te reviseren, kon het horloge weer worden opgebouwd zoals Longines het destijds heeft geproduceerd.
\nHet vinden van de juiste onderdelen bleek uiteindelijk de grootste uitdaging. Er bestaat geen onderdelenleverancier waar dit soort vintage componenten eenvoudig te bestellen zijn; het is een kwestie van zoeken, vergelijken en geduldig wachten tot de juiste onderdelen beschikbaar komen.<\/p>\n

\u23f1\ufe0f Resultaat<\/b><\/span>
\nHet horloge functioneert weer betrouwbaar en heeft zijn oorspronkelijke uitstraling teruggekregen.
\nVoor de eigenaresse betekende dit veel meer dan een goed werkend horloge: het is weer het Longines-horloge van haar vader, zoals het ooit bedoeld was.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udd0d Observatie<\/b><\/span>
\nNiet iedere restauratie draait om zoveel mogelijk originele onderdelen behouden. Soms is het juist de kunst om de juiste originele onderdelen terug te vinden. Authentieke donoronderdelen kunnen een horloge zijn identiteit teruggeven zonder afbreuk te doen aan de geschiedenis van het horloge zelf.<\/p>\n
